Hackaton: TALE - meet the mentors!

During the Hackathon: TALE, teams will have access to top experts from various fields who will answer key questions and accelerate the development of solutions! 

Here are the mentors for Hackathon: TALE!

Petar Reić, designer and communications specialist, is a founder of the OmoLab visual communications lab and startup Omoguru. Omoguru brings together experts, companies, and institutions in the development of tools to facilitate reading and learning for persons with dyslexia and other reading-related difficulties. Back in the past, from 2004 to 2009, he ran a bookstore and small publishing house called Utopia.

With a diverse portfolio that includes graphic design, UX/UI, web development and digital marketing, Maja Šparica is responsible for creative and multimedia content at the Zagreb Innovation Center - ZICER. With years of experience in the IT industry, she has developed an understanding of technology trends and best practices in visual communication design.

Mario Mucalo is an open-minded technology enthusiast who has been in the software development industry for the past 20 years. Mario runs a software development company Intellegens. He is also the CTO of the startup Peekator. Mario is active in the local IT community where he participates in conferences, hackatons, startup workshops etc. He is active on LinkedIn and shares his thoughts on his blog. With experience in software development, product development, business development and pitching, Mario is excited to work with enthusiastic creative teams to see where new ideas can take us.

Niels 't Hooft (1980) is an entrepreneur and writer. Three of his novels were traditionally published on paper, one was released as the iOS app Lotus (also in English). As a journalist he investigated videogames for many years, and also ended up writing stories and dialog for games. Today he is the co-founder and CEO of Immer, a startup in Utrecht, The Netherlands that works on better ways to read on the screen.

Miljenka Buljević is a co-founder of Kulturtreger with extensive experience in  program development, non-profit project management, international collaboration and publishing. She is particularly focused on promotion of literature and reading habits through innovative and transdisciplinary formats and methods. For the last 20 years she has been active in the civil society and cultural sector both in Croatia and internationally. She is also a translator and a book editor.

The Hackathon: TALE is organised by Association for Promotion of Cultures "Kulturtreger" / Booksa, with partners Immer, The Book Company, and the producer ZICER - Zagreb Innovation Centre.
